Information we collect
When you submit a quote request or contact form, we collect the information you provide directly: your first and last name, age, gender, and ZIP code; the gender and age of any spouse or dependents you choose to add (up to six); and your phone number and email address. If you call, email, or text us, we also keep a record of that communication. When you browse the site, standard technical information is collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit.
How we use it
Your information is used to review insurance options that may be available to you, to prepare quotes, to contact you about your request, and to maintain the records our business is required to keep as a licensed insurance advisory. We do not use your information to make automated decisions about eligibility, coverage, or pricing without a person reviewing it.
How we store and protect your information
Quote and contact form submissions are received and stored through Netlify Forms, our website hosting provider's built-in form-handling service. Information sent to and from this site is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to your submitted information is limited to Damaris and anyone else directly involved in preparing your quote or servicing your request. We keep your information only for as long as reasonably necessary to service your request and to meet recordkeeping obligations that apply to licensed insurance advisories, after which it is deleted or de-identified. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and while we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How we share your information
We may share your information with insurance carriers and their authorized representatives as necessary to process a quote or an application you choose to pursue, and with service providers who help us operate this site and handle form submissions (such as our website hosting provider). We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own unrelated marketing purposes.
Text messaging (SMS) practices
If you provide your phone number and consent to be contacted by text, message frequency will vary depending on your request and any follow-up conversation with Damaris. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consenting to receive text messages is never a condition of purchasing any insurance product or service. Your phone number and text messaging consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Your rights and choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information you've submitted to us at any time by contacting us below. You may opt out of any marketing communications at any time, and you may opt out of text messages as described above. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law.
Compliance with applicable regulations
We aim to handle your information consistent with privacy and consumer-protection laws that apply to a licensed insurance advisory, including, where applicable, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act's treatment of nonpublic personal financial information handled by insurance producers, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and CAN-SPAM Act governing text and email communications, applicable state insurance privacy requirements, and state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act for residents of those states.
Children's privacy
Our services are directed to adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
